Swimmers
from 6 to 18

KVAC Is Looking for Swimmers

Bring your swimsuit and goggles, meet the coaches,
and get ready to have fun!

The 2006-2007 Winter Season starts October 3.

  • Get fit
  • Meet and make friends
  • Train with swimmers your own age
  • Learn the four competitive strokes—freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly
  • Learn starts and turns
  • Compete against swimmers and teams from across western New York at the regional and district level

KVAC competes in the Southern Tier Swim League in the Niagara District.

Minimum requirement: This is not a learn-to-swim program. All swimmers must be able to swim 25 continuous yards in deep water. Swimmers should have a recognizable front and back stroke and must be comfortable underwater. Swimmers must be willing to listen and learn from the coaching staff.

KVAC welcomes new swimmers throughout the season.  If you are looking for something to do when the fall soccer season ends, give KVAC a try!

There are fees associated with this program.  Need-based scholarships are available, so please come and talk with us – we believe everyone who wants to swim should have the opportunity to do so.

  What is KVAC?

KVAC athletes aged 6 to 18 have the opportunity to compete against swimmers of their own age and gender from across the Southern Tier.

  • The goal of the program is to train swimmers for competition and to hone their skills in all four competitive strokes, starts and turns. Emphasis will be on stroke development and fitness, with the intention that all athletes will compete for our club on at least a regional level. We believe the main goal of a competitive swim program is FUN!
  • KVAC competes in the Southern Tier Swim League in the Niagara District. Fall/winter meets are generally on Saturdays or Sundays twice a month.
  • All practices are at the Alfred University pool in the McLane Center. All swimmers should plan to attend a minimum of 2 practices per week.

Minimum requirement: Swimmers must be able to swim 25 continuous yards in deep water. Swimmers should have a recognizable front and back stroke. Swimmers must be comfortable underwater and be responsive to instruction.
